Spec. Dr. Koray Durmaz

Dermatology

He was born on June 1, 1991 in Yozgat. He completed his secondary and high school education in Kırıkkale. In 2015, he graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, and in 2020, he completed his specialization in Dermatology and Venereal Diseases at Konya Necmettin Erbakan University Meram Faculty of Medicine. In September 2020, he completed his compulsory service at Bozüyük State Hospital. His specialization thesis in medicine, supported by the Turkish Dermatology Association’s scholarship, was conducted on “Investigation of the Effects of Polydioxanone Thread, Hyaluronic Acid Filler, and Botulinum Toxin-A Applications on Skin and Connective Tissue and Photoaging in Rats.” He holds a valid animal experimentation certificate from the KONÜDAM Experimental Medicine Application and Research Center. He is interested in and conducts research in Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dermatology, Hair Diseases, Dermatoimmunology, and Pediatric Dermatology. In the field of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dermatology, he is involved in non-surgical facial aesthetics, filler, botox, and thread applications, as well as aesthetic procedures such as mesotherapy-PRP. He is also proficient in using fractional CO2 laser, gold needle radiofrequency, Nd:YAG laser, yellow light (Proyellow), and BBL (Broad band light) devices in this field. He has participated as a speaker and attendee in 26 national and international congresses and symposiums, published 31 articles in international refereed journals, translated a chapter in the book “Treatment Methods for Hair and Scalp Diseases” published by the Congress bookstore, and authored a chapter in the book “Clinical Cases in Facial Erythema”. Additionally, he has authored 3 national book chapters. He has presented 29 posters and oral presentations, and has served as a reviewer for numerous articles in national and international indexed journals. He has 164 citations in the Google Scholar database and an H-index of 7. He is a member of the Turkish Dermatology Association and the Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dermatology Association. He is actively involved in the Hair Diseases Scientific Study Group and the Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dermatology Study Group. He has received two research grants from the Turkish Dermatology Association for animal experiments. He continues his scientific studies as an Assistant Professor at Lokman Hekim University. He is proficient in English.
